"The Traitors" India Season 2 has become Prime Video's number one non-English title worldwide in its launch week, prompting host and producer Karan Johar to praise the reality show's "unpredictable nature" as the key to its appeal. The Indian adaptation of the BAFTA- and Emmy-winning format, which premiered on 13 August, has also landed among Prime Video's global top 10 original series, a strong showing that underlines growing international demand for Indian-language reality television.

The series, filmed at Suryagarh Palace, features 21 celebrity contestants split between "Innocents" trying to root out secretly chosen "Traitors" before they are eliminated. The cast includes Mallika Sherawat, Rhea Chakraborty, Munawar Faruqui and Shweta Tiwari, among others. Produced by Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment alongside All3Media International, the show releases new episodes weekly on Thursdays exclusively on Prime Video, with Amazon MGM Studios India executive Nikhil Madhok saying the season's social media buzz suggests audience enthusiasm will keep building.
