Karina Longworth’s Hollywood-history podcast “You Must Remember This” will return on 15 September with an eight-episode season titled “The Bisexuals”. The series will examine bisexual figures and queer life in 20th-century Hollywood, highlighting how social attitudes and industry pressures shaped their public and private lives.

The season begins with performer Libby Holman’s rise in 1920s New York and the later scandal surrounding her husband’s murder, before considering the restricted cultural climate faced by figures such as Montgomery Clift. It will also feature Elizabeth Taylor, Josephine Baker, Billie Holiday, Kane and Paul Bowles, Tallulah Bankhead and Nicholas Ray; Longworth created, writes, produces and narrates the podcast, which launched in 2014.
