Kate Beckinsale Action-Thriller ‘Drifter’ Boarded By The Syndicate For Sales At TIFF & AFM
Kate Beckinsale's action-thriller "Drifter" has been picked up for sales by Shaun Sanghani's The Syndicate, which will shop the film to buyers at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and American Film Market (AFM). The deal is notable as an early sales push for a project still in production, giving distributors a first look before the film is finished.
The film stars Beckinsale alongside Dermot Mulroney, Robert Knepper and rapper Sticky Fingaz, and is currently shooting on location in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio. Directed by Randall Emmett, it also features Bill Sage, Beau Bommarito, Ema Horvath, Maia Kai and John Cerasani, and follows an interim police chief who must fend off a deadly assault on her station after arresting a mysterious drifter. It is fully financed and produced by Convergence Entertainment, founded by Emmett and Joel Cohen, in association with Dream Team Films, with Jeffrey Giles and Michael Lurie serving as executive producers for The Syndicate.
