Kemi Badenoch rules out a Tory deal with ‘woke’ Reform UK as she swipes at ‘moaning and whingeing’ of Nigel Farage’s party

Daily Mail · 2 hours ago

Kemi Badenoch has again ruled out any electoral pact between the Conservatives and Reform UK, accusing Nigel Farage's party of being "woke" and engaging in "moaning and whingeing". The Tory leader said Reform pursued "victim narratives" and "grievance" politics, and stressed she would not do a deal to "unite the Right" because her aim is to unite the whole country. Her comments come amid growing pressure from some quarters for the two parties to strike a pact to prevent Labour securing another term in government.

Badenoch said she did not want voters to be left "confused about what this Conservative Party stands for" by any alliance with Reform. Her intervention follows a fresh YouGov poll putting Reform on 23 per cent support, just ahead of Labour on 22 per cent, with the Conservatives trailing on 19 per cent.

  • Badenoch rejects any Tory-Reform electoral pact, calling Reform "woke"
  • She accused Farage's party of "grievance" politics and "whingeing"
  • Latest poll: Reform 23%, Labour 22%, Tories 19%
