Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has ruled out a full reboot of the Marvel Cinematic Universe following Avengers: Secret Wars, which concludes Phase Six in 2027. Speaking to Josh Horowitz on the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast, Feige addressed persistent fan speculation over what the sprawling multiverse saga will mean for the franchise's future, stating plainly that a reboot is not on the cards despite the scale of the story ahead.

Instead, Feige said Marvel is drawing inspiration from Jonathan Hickman's 2015-2016 Secret Wars comic run, calling it a "nice roadmap" for where the cinematic universe can go next. This echoes earlier comments he made in 2025 about the MCU undergoing a "reset" rather than a reboot, and comes despite Avengers: Doomsday co-director Joe Russo recently suggesting the franchise was returning to "phase zero". Avengers: Secret Wars is due for release on 17 December 2027, preceded by Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday, which arrives on 18 December this year.
