Key Glock Is Having Fun & He Doesn’t Care Who Knows: ‘People Don’t See This Side of Me’

Memphis rapper Key Glock has released his solo album PROJECT X, a feature-free project that debuted at No. 29 on the Billboard 200 and gave him another top 10 entry on the Top Rap Albums chart. In a Billboard interview, the 28-year-old described the album as a more social, fun-focused era compared to his previous work, saying he tested unreleased tracks in clubs and strip clubs to gauge crowd reactions before finalising the tracklist.

The album, recorded across Miami, Los Angeles, Houston and Atlanta, was produced largely by regular collaborators including King Wonka, Honorable C.N.O.T.E. and the late Tay Keith, who died on 18 June, just hours before the album's release on 19 June. Glock said he was not yet ready to discuss Tay Keith's death publicly. He also revealed he has already begun work on his next album and, while there won't be a deluxe edition of PROJECT X, a sequel is planned for the future.
