Hulu's new eight-part crime thriller "Furious" has drawn strong critical praise since premiering on 27 July 2026, with reviewers comparing it to acclaimed series "Killing Eve" and "The Fall" for its dark, morally complex female leads. Created by Elizabeth Meriwether (known for "New Girl", "The Dropout" and "Dying for Sex"), the series follows a cat-and-mouse pursuit between an enigmatic killer and the FBI agent hunting her, exploring themes of trauma, control and misogyny along the way.

The show centres on Catherine Grace (Lola Petticrew), a seemingly ordinary young woman who murders a man with a fatal fentanyl dose in New York, and Alice Black (Emmy Rossum), a former police officer turned FBI agent brought in to investigate.
