Kimmel Bashes Trump After Democrats’ Midterms “Tsunami”: “The Only Ass on His Mind Is the One That Just Got Handed to Him”

Jimmy Kimmel used a late Tuesday taping of his show to respond to early results from the 2026 US midterm elections, with Democrats projected to win both chambers of Congress. His jokes targeted Donald Trump and J.D. Vance, as Democrats recorded unexpected victories in several states.

Kimmel was the first late-night host to react to the election results on air that night; The Daily Show had also broadcast a new episode, but it was taped before many polls closed. He mocked Trump’s comments about people’s bodies and joked about his reaction to watching election coverage. Kimmel also reviewed key races and showed a compilation of humorous moments from outgoing House Speaker Mike Johnson.
