KimStim has acquired the North American rights to *Donkey Princess*, the latest feature by Chilean directors Cristóbal León and Joaquín Cociña. The deal brings the distributor back together with the filmmakers after its North American release of *The Wolf House*, and KimStim plans a theatrical rollout in 2027, followed by digital and home-video releases.

The film premiered in Locarno’s International Competition and later screened at Fantastic Fest in Austin. Loosely inspired by Charles Perrault’s *Donkeyskin*, it follows Princess Diana as she defies a ban on love and journeys across worlds to find her lost love; it combines live action, stop-motion, 2D animation, handcrafted sets and digital imagery.
