The teaser shows four portraits at the 1 minute 22 second mark, with the first depicting the upcoming "Castlevania: Belmont's Curse" and the other three displaying key art from three 3D Castlevania titles that have not yet been re-released on modern consoles: "Lament of Innocence," "Curse of Darkness," and "Lords of Shadow." This matters because Konami has been systematically re-releasing the franchise's back catalogue in recent years, making a 3D collection a logical next step in their comprehensive re-release strategy.

The three games in question are all 3D action titles rather than the series' traditional side-scrolling format. "Lament of Innocence" was released in 2003 for PlayStation 2, "Curse of Darkness" followed in 2005 with a more open-ended structure, and "Lords of Shadow" came out in 2010, widely considered the best-regarded 3D entry in the series. Konami's recent re-release efforts include the 2019 Anniversary Collection, the 2021 Advance Collection for Game Boy Advance titles, and the 2024 Dominus Collection of DS games, suggesting that rounding out their catalogue with these 3D titles would complete their re-release mission.
