‘Kung Fu Panda 3’ Studio Sets Global Release for ‘All Wishes Come True!’
Pearl Studio will release its animated comedy “All Wishes Come True!” internationally this summer after its Chinese debut on 18 July. The rollout reflects the growing global ambition of Chinese animation, with the Beijing-based studio continuing to adapt traditional Chinese stories for overseas audiences.
The film opens in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea on 13 August, followed the next day by the US, Canada, UK, Ireland and Netherlands; Belgium and Luxembourg follow on 4 September. Written and directed by Mu Zhengyang, it reimagines “The Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea” as a comedy about eight mortals posing as immortals to enter a legendary vault, before uncovering a threat to both worlds. Pearl Studio produced it with CMC Pictures; Chinese animation’s overseas revenue reached $9.3 billion in 2025, while “Ne Zha 2” has earned more than $2.2 billion worldwide.
