La La Land will be marked on its tenth anniversary with a live concert-and-film screening at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, returning the musical to the city where it premiered. The event highlights the film’s enduring cultural and commercial impact, including its unusual success as an original Hollywood musical.

Damien Chazelle will attend the Cartier Cinema Club event at Teatro La Fenice, where Justin Hurwitz will conduct the Orchestra Regionale Filarmonia Veneta alongside pianist Randy Kerber. The film received 14 Oscar nominations and won six, while grossing more than $500 million worldwide; the Venice event is free, with tickets available from 4 August. Lionsgate will re-release the film on 16 August, and a Broadway stage adaptation is also in development.
