Lionsgate has unveiled a revised poster for "La La Land" marking the film's tenth anniversary, altering the position of Ryan Gosling's hand in the dancing scene that the actor had criticised for years. Gosling had told The Wall Street Journal in 2024 that the original image "haunts" him, explaining he flattened his hand during filming rather than keeping it raised as choreographed, having wrongly believed at the time that it looked "cooler". He dubbed the moment his "La La Hand" and said the change had "killed the energy" of the shot, so the redesign effectively restores the pose he now wishes had been used.

The new artwork accompanies a theatrical re-release of the Damien Chazelle-directed musical on Sunday 16 August, screening at Dolby Cinema venues via AMC Theatres, with Lionsgate also releasing a trailer for the rerelease. "La La Land" starred Gosling and Emma Stone as a jazz pianist and an aspiring actress falling in love in Los Angeles, alongside John Legend, Rosemarie DeWitt, Finn Wittrock and J. K. Simmons, and won six Academy Awards including Best Director and Best Cinematography.
