Labour and other critics have condemned Reform UK after Nigel Farage's party launched a "Small Boat Watch" app featuring a Space Invaders-style game in which players command a Royal Navy vessel to intercept Channel migrant boats. The move has been branded a distraction from an ongoing Metropolitan Police investigation into Reform's donations and a separate parliamentary standards inquiry into a £5 million gift Farage received, with opponents arguing that turning migrant deaths into a game is dehumanising and deeply inappropriate.

The app tracks daily migrant arrivals and their estimated cost to taxpayers, while its "Small Boat Scramble" game has players dodge "small boats, mega-dinghies" and obstacles dubbed a "Boriswave", with a £5,000 prize for the top scorer over the next month. Reform's Zia Yusuf defended the app as putting "facts in the hands of the public", citing almost 210,000 Channel crossings since 2018, while Labour countered that small boat arrivals this summer are at their lowest in six years and urged Farage to address the "sleaze and scandal" engulfing his party instead.
