The 2026 Caribbean Music Awards took place in Trinidad for the first time, with Lady Lava leading the winners after collecting four awards across soca, zess and chutney soca. Shenseea dominated the dancehall categories, while the ceremony highlighted the region’s diverse musical styles and growing international influence.

Full Blown, Joé Dwèt Filé and several other artists won multiple awards. Other notable honours went to Coutain, Keznamdi, Chronixx’s *Exile*, the Saint Lucia Jazz Festival, Bad Bunny and Nicki Minaj, alongside special recognition for steelpan pioneers and institutions.
