Lakers’ Luka Dončić nails wild three-quarter-court shot vs Blazers
The Lakers missed their first 15 three-point attempts against the Trail Blazers, but Luka Dončić made a remarkable 61-foot buzzer-beater to end the first half. The shot cut the Lakers’ deficit to 60-53 and gave the home crowd a lift during a poor shooting start.
The Slovenian guard banked in the attempt from just inside the three-point arc, on the opposite side of the court. The Lakers made only four of 23 shots from beyond the arc in the first half. Dončić had also hit a buzzer-beater from beyond half court in the Lakers’ season-opening win against the Warriors on 21 October.
In short
- Dončić banked in a 61-foot buzzer-beater.
- The Lakers trailed Portland 60-53 at half-time.
- Los Angeles made four of 23 first-half threes.
