Latto Explains Why She Loves When People ‘Hate on’ Her: ‘Thank You for Putting That Battery in My Back’
Latto said on her “Hot Ones” debut that criticism motivates her to work harder and prove her detractors wrong. She described hostility as fuel for her music and said it also does not shake her confidence in her home cooking.
She also discussed doing guest verses without payment when she likes the song or the artist, though she is reconsidering that approach now she has a child to support. Her album *Big Mama* was released in May and debuted at No. 16 on the Billboard 200, with 33,000 album-equivalent units.
