Laufey has signed with talent agency UTA for global representation across all areas, the agency confirmed on Monday 27 July. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter had previously been represented by Wasserman, but reportedly departed following the fallout from founder Casey Wasserman's inclusion in the Epstein files; Wasserman has since left the agency, which is now up for sale, and rebranded as THE·TEAM.

The move comes as Laufey continues her arena tour in support of the Grammy-winning album A Matter of Time, which launched last autumn and has sold out venues including Madison Square Garden, LA's Crypto.com Arena and London's O2 Arena. The tour, currently in Australia, is due to conclude on 12 September in Mexico City. Known for blending classical, pop and jazz, Laufey has released four projects since her 2021 debut EP, with both Bewitched and A Matter of Time winning the Grammy for best traditional pop vocal album; the latter also gave her a career-best No. 4 debut on the Billboard 200.
