Lego unveils five new Pokémon building sets with first official images
Lego and The Pokémon Company have revealed five new Pokémon building sets, following their first collaboration earlier in 2026, which coincides with the franchise's 30th anniversary. The announcement, made on a Tuesday, expands the partnership beyond its initial line-up of Pikachu, Eevee and the Kanto starters' final evolutions, and notably includes a fan-favourite Legendary Pokémon. The reveal matters to collectors because it marks a significant broadening of the range, including the introduction of minifigures — a feature deliberately absent from the first wave.
The five sets are Munchlax (757 pieces, $69.99), Arcanine (1,190 pieces, $99.99), Rayquaza (1,083 pieces, $129.99), the Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball (2,339 pieces, $299.99) and an up-scaled Red figure standing almost a foot tall. Munchlax, Arcanine and Rayquaza go on sale on 1 August, while the Poké Ball and Red set arrive on 1 October. The Rayquaza set features the green dragon above the Sky Pillar alongside a new Lorekeeper Zinnia minifigure, and the Poké Ball includes three Trainer minifigures — Professor Oak, Picnicker and Red — plus Pikachu and Eevee figures, a shift from Lego's earlier stance that children themselves are the Trainers.
