Lilly Wachowski Boards Comedy ‘Making A Bridesmaid’ As Project Heads To AFM For Sales

Lilly Wachowski has joined *Making A Bridesmaid* as executive producer, with her company Anarchists United also coming aboard the completed comedy. Her involvement brings an established genre filmmaker to Molly Ratermann’s project as it prepares to seek international sales at the American Film Market.

Written, directed and led by Ratermann, the film follows two outcast sisters at a bachelorette weekend that turns into a real-life murder game. Guests must compete for four bridesmaid places to stay alive, in a story described as an ’80s-inspired mix of horror, dark comedy and satire about social expectations and belonging. Shot in Lake Tahoe, the film has completed post-production and is planning a festival run.
