Limited Run Games will release physical editions of *The Lord of the Rings: War in the North – Legacy Edition* for Switch 2, with pre-orders opening on 2 October 2026. The announcement gives collectors a boxed option following the game’s revival for Switch, Switch 2 and other platforms.

The standard edition costs US$49.99 and includes a slipcover and Wayfinder’s Ledger booklet. A US$79.99 Deluxe Edition adds a slipcase, steelcase, cloth map and a weathered letter with a foreword by Jed Brophy; both editions include the game. The revived version features 60 FPS support, interface and usability improvements, autosaves, extra save slots and gyro controls.
