The family of the anonymous holdout juror who caused a mistrial in Lindsay Clancy's murder case have spoken out, saying their lives have been upended by harassment since he was revealed as the single juror who refused to acquit her. His brother told the New York Post the decision was based purely on the evidence, not the family's Catholic faith, and that relatives had no idea he was even serving on the high-profile case until it collapsed.

Clancy admitted strangling her three children, Cora, five, Dawson, three or four, and eight-month-old Callan, in 2023, with her defence arguing she was overmedicated and suffering severe postpartum psychosis. After nearly a week of deliberations, jurors deadlocked 11-1 on 4 September, with the holdout maintaining she was guilty. His brother said the devoutly Catholic, Haiti-born family has since been harassed, with people calling constantly and leaving notes at their mother's house, while Florida Governor Ron DeSantis offered the juror "asylum" in his state; separately, reports emerged that the juror had faced dropped domestic violence charges in 2021 and a further alleged assault in 2025, raising questions over his jury vetting, though associates described him as a well-regarded, church-going family man. Prosecutors have not yet said whether they will retry Clancy.
