Lindsey Buckingham has revealed that he and former Fleetwood Mac bandmate Stevie Nicks are "talking all the time" again, marking a significant thaw in a relationship that broke down badly in 2018 and led to his removal from the band. The reconciliation follows a gradual healing process, including last year's reissue of their Buckingham Nicks album and Nicks' own confirmation in October 2025 that their feud was over, a stark contrast to 2024 when she said she had barely spoken to him since leaving Fleetwood Mac.

Speaking to E News on 6 August, Buckingham said work on a Fleetwood Mac documentary with director Frank Marshall, first announced in 2024, had been "a very circular healing process for all of us", and that repairing the relationship mattered more than plans to tour. He teased that "next year", 2027, "should be a pretty interesting year" with "quite a few things" set to reveal themselves, suggesting the documentary and a possible Buckingham-Nicks reunion could both be on the horizon.
