Listen to Brandon Flowers’ driving new single ‘Tiger’s Blood’

NME · 2 hours ago

Brandon Flowers, frontman of The Killers, has released 'Tiger's Blood', the third single from his upcoming third solo album 'Thrasher', due out on 21 August via Island Records. The song is a driving, Springsteen-esque anthem with nostalgic lyrics about heartbreak and memory, and it follows earlier singles 'Plans' and 'Paradise', released in June and July respectively.

Recorded in Nashville with longtime producers Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado, alongside guitarist David Rawlings, pedal steel player Bruce Bouton and 85-year-old harmonica veteran Charlie McCoy, 'Thrasher' is a country-inspired record exploring Flowers' childhood in Nephi, Utah. Flowers debuted the track at Newport Folk Festival and will support the album with a UK, Ireland and North American tour later this year, including a show at London's Royal Albert Hall in October; he has also teased two further solo albums and hinted at a stylistic shift for the next Killers record.
