Chad Hugo, co-founder of the Neptunes, has released his first solo single, “Jumpupw!nya”, featuring Tierra Whack and Leikeli47. The upbeat track is accompanied by futuristic visuals depicting spaceship controls, hazmat suits and an apocalyptic setting, marking Hugo’s first release as a solo artist.

Leikeli47 said she welcomed the chance to collaborate with Hugo, citing her Brooklyn and Virginia connections. Hugo has recently produced for artists including Ye, Ty Dolla $ign, Brockhampton and Brent Faiyaz, while also pursuing legal disputes with former partner Pharrell Williams over alleged unpaid N.E.R.D. royalties of up to $1 million and the Neptunes trademark.
