The original "Morning Dew (Donk)" was surprise-released on 4 July, becoming Beyoncé's first new song in two years, and is due to feature on a 20th-anniversary reissue of her album "B'Day" expected next month. Jay-Z's last rap verse was on DJ Khaled's 2022 track "God Did", though he later contributed spoken word to a D'Angelo song in 2024; he is also set to release a track with Eminem and Rakim later this month, while speculation continues over new solo material from both him and Beyoncé.
