Lita Ford has given an update on her long-delayed new studio album, saying she is "hoping for a September" release once outstanding paperwork with record companies is finalised. Speaking to Chicago's Rebel Radio, the '80s hard rock guitarist said the album's completion would also allow touring plans to ramp up, calling the prospect "off the charts" and adding she has her "fingers crossed". The release would be her first full studio effort since 2012's "Living Like A Runaway".

The record has once again been produced by guitarist Gary Hoey, who also plays on it, with mixing by veteran 1980s producer Max Norman. Ford previously confirmed the album was finished, revealing it features a duet with German metal singer Doro Pesch and a co-written track with Jean Beauvoir of Crown Of Thorns and Plasmatics. She also discussed her old-school songwriting approach, favouring guitar and voice memos over technology, and explained that the long gap since her last release reflects her wish to assemble a strong team to properly promote the record in a changed music industry.
