Live Nation generated $7.7B in Q2 revenue, up 9% YoY, driven by a 10% rise in fan attendance
Live Nation Entertainment reported second-quarter revenue of $7.7 billion, up 9% year-on-year, as concert attendance rose 10% to 49 million fans. The results underline continued strong demand for live music, with ticket sales and event-related deferred revenue indicating further growth in the second half of the year.
Its Concerts division produced $6.4 billion in revenue, though adjusted operating income fell 14% to $309.6 million due to show timing, venue costs and new festivals. Ticketmaster revenue increased 15% to $852 million and its adjusted operating income rose 14% to $331 million, while sponsorship and advertising revenue grew 12% to $383 million. The company’s wider financial position remains affected by its antitrust dispute, including a $450 million first-quarter litigation charge.
