Live Nation has settled a lawsuit brought by a man who said he suffered a traumatic brain injury during a fight at a Luke Bryan concert in Hartford, Connecticut, in 2022. The case mattered because a judge had ruled it could go to trial, finding that a jury might conclude the promoter failed to provide adequate security or respond quickly enough to protect concertgoers.

Gary Stanhope alleged he was beaten unconscious after intervening in a nearby fight that security had not stopped for several minutes, and sued Live Nation in 2024. Live Nation said it had employed 116 security guards and more than 12 off-duty police officers, arguing the assault was unforeseeable; however, Judge Janet C. Hall cited accounts of a rowdy crowd, limited security presence and delayed medical assistance. The settlement terms were not disclosed, Luke Bryan was not accused of wrongdoing, and it is unclear whether the alleged attacker faced criminal charges.
