US singer Lizzo has welcomed a ruling by a district judge dismissing the remaining claims in a lawsuit brought against her production company, Big Grrrl Big Touring Inc, by her former wardrobe assistant Asha Daniels. Daniels had alleged she was subjected to "degradation, forced physical labor, denial of medical care, sexual harassment, and racial harassment" while working briefly for the company in 2023. Lizzo said in an Instagram post that she felt "relieved" and would "continue to fight" every claim made against her and her business, and thanked her legal team.

Judge Fernando L Aenlle-Rocha ruled that Daniels had not shown evidence of "general hostility to women in the workplace" or "disparate treatment of men and women", and found that the alleged conduct, while "inappropriate and unprofessional", fell outside legal protections for workplace disputes. He also dismissed a disability claim relating to an incident in which Daniels said her foot was run over by a clothes rack, ruling the injuries did not qualify under the Americans with Disabilities Act. The lawsuit, filed in September 2023, followed a separate and still-ongoing suit from three former tour dancers, while related fat-shaming allegations were dismissed by a judge in 2025.
