A US federal judge has dismissed the remaining claims brought by wardrobe stylist Asha Daniels against Big Grrrl Big Touring Inc., the touring company for singer Lizzo, ending her lawsuit over an alleged hostile work environment on the artist's 2023 European tour. The ruling matters because it follows a separate, still-pending harassment lawsuit against Lizzo brought by three former dancers, and marks a second legal setback for claims made against the singer's touring operation after Lizzo herself was earlier dropped as a defendant in Daniels' case.

Daniels filed suit in September 2023, alleging racist and fat-phobic comments, sexual harassment and disability discrimination, including a claim that a wardrobe manager rolled a heavy clothing rack over her foot and pushed her. US District Judge Fernando L. Aenlle-Rocha ruled that the alleged conduct, while "inappropriate and unprofessional", did not meet the legal threshold for a hostile workplace under Title VII, and that her injuries did not qualify as disabilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Daniels' lawyer, Ron Zambrano, said they were disappointed and were considering an appeal, arguing the evidence should have gone before a jury, while Lizzo's team had previously called Daniels a "disgruntled" employee making "meritless" claims.
