LØLØ Shares Melancholy Festive Track ‘mall santa’

Canadian singer-songwriter LØLØ has released “mall santa”, a melancholy Christmas song about turning to a shopping-centre Santa while heartbroken. It sets emotional desperation against the festive season’s bright, cheerful mood, using an absurd situation to explore the hope that something might make the pain go away.

LØLØ says the song is about being so desperate after heartbreak that you would try anything, despite knowing there is no magical fix. She hopes it resonates with people spending the holidays longing for something Santa cannot deliver. The release also comes with her cover of “Silent Night” and follows her song “pretty little wreck”.
