Brooklyn-based musician Lora Mouna has released “The Difference”, her first single of 2026, alongside a self-directed video. The track is presented as a slow-building, dreamy rock song that draws some influence from Deftones while retaining Mouna’s own character and vocal style.

The song begins more restrained before expanding into heavy guitar distortion and a climactic, emotionally turbulent sound. Mouna’s bright, melodic voice carries the repeated question “What is the difference?”, which becomes increasingly distressed as the arrangement intensifies.
