John Rhys-Davies, best known for Lord of the Rings and Indiana Jones, is starring in a new intergenerational comedy called Seniors, and Collider has exclusively released the film's first trailer. The film pairs Rhys-Davies with Paris Brosnan, son of Pierce Brosnan, adding a real-life family connection to the on-screen mentor relationship, and is significant as it marks a full-circle moment for Rhys-Davies, who previously worked with the elder Brosnan decades ago.

In the film, Paris Brosnan plays Ori Ingram, a troubled teenage aspiring writer completing community service at a seniors' residence, where he clashes with and is eventually mentored by Rhys-Davies' character, a former Pulitzer-winning war correspondent named Albert Vernon. The pair strike a deal involving a $25,000 writing competition and a buried safe, while the wider cast includes Bethany Anne Lind, Eric Mendenhall, Sophia Echendu and Tyler C. Toney. The film is director Lance Clark's feature debut, written by Erica Leigh Dick, and is set for release in select theatres this autumn.
