Los Angeles metal band HERETIC will release their new studio album, "Shape Of Things To Come", on 24 July 2026 through Candlepower Records. The 12-track record was produced by Steve Watson at Watson House Studios in Pasadena, California, and marks the latest chapter for a band that has been active, on and off, since forming in 1985.

Guitarist and founding member Brian Korban, who has led the band throughout its history, said he set out to pay tribute to classic metal and early HERETIC material while covering a wide range of styles, including thrash, an acoustic ballad and mid-paced power riffs. The current line-up features Korban and Stewart Fujinami on guitar, Angelo Espino on bass, Julian Mendez on vocals and Sean Scott McCormick on drums. HERETIC first emerged via Metal Blade Records in the 1980s before disbanding, reforming in 2011, and being the subject of a 2023 documentary chronicling the band's history.
