Los Gemelos de Sinaloa Are the Twins Winning the Música Mexicana Game
Los Gemelos de Sinaloa, the Mexican American twin brothers Juan “Gemelo” and Robert “Temu” Cardenas, are gaining a wider audience after a decade making music together. Backed by Fuerza Regida’s Jesús Ortiz Paz through his Street Mob Records label, they scored a No. 1 hit with “Ferrari” and released their new album, The Gemeliza.
The brothers grew up in California with family roots in Sinaloa, and say their mother’s love of music helped shape them. The album moves between corridos, sierreño, norteño and reggaeton, with guest appearances including Fuerza Regida, Ovy on the Drums and Blessd. Their first US headlining tour is set to begin on 23 October and visit 10 major cities.
