Sick of It All have announced the death of their frontman Lou Koller, who had been receiving treatment for adenocarcinoma cancer. The developing report does not add a reported age or exact date of death, but the band said his loss was overwhelming and praised his lasting impact on the worldwide hardcore community.

Koller disclosed in June 2024 that he had a tumour extending from his oesophagus into his stomach and stopped touring for treatment. He co-founded the Queens, New York hardcore band in 1986 with his brother Pete Koller and drummer Armand Majidi; its 1989 debut helped establish the group, whose 40th anniversary would have fallen this year.
