Actor Lucy Davis has revealed that she has an incurable Stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis, prompting messages of support from former colleagues and other actors. Davis said the cancer has spread to her bones and that she hopes to continue acting and campaigning for animal rights, despite the prognosis.

Jenna Fischer, who played the US counterpart to Davis’s character in different versions of “The Office”, praised her wish to work while ill and shared her own experience of recovering from breast cancer. Kiernan Shipka, Miranda Otto, Melissa Joan Hart and “Shaun of the Dead” director Edgar Wright were also among those offering support after Davis’s Instagram announcement.
