‘Lupin’ Is (Nearly) Back! Star Omar Sy Shares How Season 4 Is Bigger and Bolder

The Hollywood Reporter ·

The fourth part of *Lupin* premieres on Netflix on 23 October, with Omar Sy returning as Assane Diop, the gentleman thief. Sy says the team aimed to preserve the series’ appeal while adding fresh surprises, bigger action and drama, and a more formidable rival.

Set four years after Part 3, the story finds Assane in prison, hoping to serve his sentence and keep a promise to his son. A series of coordinated museum heists bearing Lupin’s signature makes him a suspect, so he must escape to prove his innocence and expose a copycat. The first two seasons rank among Netflix’s most popular non-English series, and the first three have generated more than €90 million for the French economy, according to Netflix.
