Luxbox Films has acquired worldwide sales rights to Mariano Llinás’s documentary *Life of Jorge Luis Borges*, ahead of its world premiere in Venice Film Festival’s Open – Non-Fiction section. The five-and-a-half-hour film examines the life of the influential Argentine writer and poet through his papers, reading and travels, framing literature as the central force of his life.

Llinás, known for the 2018 epic *La Flor*, made the film with El Pampero Cine, the collective he co-founded in 2003. Laura Citarella, Ezequiel Pierr, Agustín Mendilaharzu, Alejo Moguillansky and Llinás are producers; the cast includes Ernesto Montequín, Nicolás Helft, Laura Paredes, Milva Leonardi and Pablo Dacal.
