David O. Russell's biopic "Madden" has released its official trailer, featuring Nicolas Cage as legendary NFL coach John Madden. The film chronicles Madden's iconic career both on and off the field, from his time coaching the Oakland Raiders to his subsequent reinvention as an NFL broadcaster and the creative force behind EA's hugely successful video game franchise. The picture will release in select cinemas on 11 November, with a Prime Video streaming debut on 18 November.

The film covers Madden's improbable 1977 Super Bowl victory with the Raiders under owner Al Davis (Christian Bale), followed by his transition into broadcasting and his role as the brains behind the Madden NFL video game franchise, which became one of the bestselling gaming properties of all time. The cast includes Kathryn Hahn as Madden's wife Virginia, Sienna Miller as Davis's wife Carol, John Mulaney as EA Sports founder Trip Hawkins, and Shane Gillis. Russell both directed and co-wrote the screenplay from an earlier draft by Cambron Clark.
