Madonna transformed Queens' Knockdown Center into the New York City edition of "Club Confessions" on Saturday 11 July, a free party celebrating her latest album, Confessions II. The event took place the night before the record was confirmed as her 10th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, underlining her enduring dominance in dance-pop and the strength of demand, with queues reportedly stretching several blocks.

The night featured Confessions II co-producer Stuart Price and frequent Madonna remixer Honey Dijon on the decks, alongside Fcukers, Junior Sanchez and Sam-E, with the crowd including Kim Petras, Sky Ferreira and Bob the Drag Queen. Doors opened at 10 p.m. and Madonna took to the stage at around 1:10 a.m., performing a setlist dominated by Confessions II tracks plus older cuts such as "Get Together", "Thief of Hearts" and the 1983 song "Physical Attraction". Highlights included mass singalongs to "I Feel So Free" and the autobiographical "Danceteria", whose lyrics the crowd appeared to know despite the album being barely a week old.
