Major Streamer Officially Makes a Profit and Immediately Increases Subscription Costs
Peacock, NBCUniversal's streaming service, is raising prices across all of its subscription tiers, following a broader trend among major streamers. The increase comes as the platform, which trails rivals such as Netflix and HBO Max in subscriber numbers, works to strengthen its position, including through a bundle offer with Apple TV.
Monthly fees will rise from $7.99 to $8.99 for the Select plan, from $10.99 to $12.99 for Premium, and from $16.99 to $19.99 for Premium Plus. Annual pricing is also increasing, with Select moving from $79.99 to $89.99, Premium from $109.99 to $129.99, and Premium Plus from $169.99 to $199.99.
