Disney actor Malachi Barton has released his debut solo single, ‘Stay for the Credits’, marking his first major musical project outside his screen roles in ZOMBIES 4 and Camp Rock 3. He says the release matters because it gives audiences a more personal view of him and allows him creative control beyond the characters he plays.

The song addresses being judged through online perceptions rather than being known as a person, while Barton hopes listeners will find it uplifting and escapist. Influenced by Malcolm Todd, Frank Ocean, Mac DeMarco and actor-musician Joe Keery, he will perform the single alongside Disney material on the Worlds Collide Tour, which begins next month in Palm Desert, California.
