A 21-year-old fashion model, Abdallah Diaby, appeared in a Manhattan court wearing designer trainers worth around $3,645, having been charged over a December 2025 burglary at a luxury SoHo boutique in which more than $1 million of high-end merchandise was allegedly stolen. He and three accomplices are accused of carrying out a carefully planned, cinematic-style heist at the retailer 4Gseller, targeting rare items from brands including Saint Laurent and Chrome Hearts.

Diaby, who has pleaded not guilty to grand larceny, burglary and criminal possession of stolen property, is out on supervised release and was praised by Judge Althea Drysdale for a "stellar" report since his arrest, though she warned him he must not be rearrested. Prosecutors have offered a sentence of one to three years, with a decision deadline set for 10 November. Two alleged accomplices, Ebrima Bayo and Treasure Gyamfi, have also been charged, while the boutique's owner described the raid, which took under five minutes and involved suspects disguised as construction workers, as "like the movies".
