Man City agree deal to sign Marseille keeper Rulli
Manchester City have agreed to sign Argentina goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli from Marseille for £1.7m on a two-year contract. The 34-year-old will return to the Etihad Stadium as cover for first-choice keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, replacing James Trafford after his departure to Leeds.
Rulli was previously at City in 2016-17 but did not make a first-team appearance. He has eight Argentina caps, was part of the squads that won the 2022 World Cup and 2024 Copa America, and is remembered for helping Villarreal beat Manchester United in the 2021 Europa League final penalty shootout.
