A 38-year-old man, named by South Yorkshire Police as Ryan Kettlewell, was found shot dead in Ecclesall Woods in Sheffield on Wednesday. His family paid tribute, describing him as a "lovable character who will be missed," as detectives continue to appeal for information to establish the circumstances of his death.

The body was discovered by a member of the public at around 18:45 BST, and a post-mortem examination confirmed he died from a gunshot wound. A 34-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man arrested in Manchester on suspicion of murder the following day have since been released on bail. Detective Chief Inspector Andy Knowles said police remain committed to finding answers and urged anyone with relevant information, however small, to come forward.
