A 19-year-old man has been convicted of violent disorder over a street fight in Sheffield in which people wielded wooden planks and poles. Teodor Mizigar, of Hollings Road, Bradford, was found guilty at Sheffield Crown Court following a trial, after he denied the charge relating to the brawl on Firth Park Road on 2 February. He was also convicted of possessing a bladed article, a sword, in connection with a separate incident in Hinde Street on 2 June.

Three other people have already admitted charges over the same street fight. Milan Mizigar, 24, of Doncaster, and a 17-year-old boy who cannot be named pleaded guilty to violent disorder in July, while Ladislav Pakuta, 54, of Sheffield, pleaded guilty to wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent. Teodor Mizigar is due to be sentenced on 12 November, and the three co-defendants will next appear in court on 2 October.
