Manchester City have agreed a £34m deal to sign the Palmeiras winger Allan Elias, a move that will pave the way for the club to sell fellow Brazilian Savinho to Tottenham. City are also in advanced talks to sell midfielder Nico González to Newcastle, with the funds potentially used to fund a move for Chelsea's Enzo Fernández. The reshuffle reflects a busy period of squad turnover at City as manager Enzo Maresca looks to reshape his options across midfield and attack.

Elias, 22, has made 96 appearances for Palmeiras and is set to join for €37.5m plus €2.5m add-ons. Savinho's exit to Spurs is valued at £75m plus £10m, while Tottenham are also pursuing Omar Marmoush for a similar fee. González, 24, is expected to leave for around £50m, close to the £49.8m City paid for him in January 2025. City have made just one signing so far this window, £116m man Elliot Anderson, but are closing in on a deal for Lille's Ayyoub Bouaddi worth roughly £81.4m, and remain interested in Liverpool's Cody Gakpo.
