Mariah Carey Celebrates 30th Anniversary of ‘Daydream’ With Expanded Edition: ‘Era of Firsts for Me’
Mariah Carey has released a 30th anniversary edition of her 1995 album "Daydream" via streaming platforms, marking the milestone with an expanded version featuring previously unreleased material. The original album spent six weeks at number one on the Billboard 200 and was certified 11-times Platinum, cementing its status as one of Carey's most successful releases; the anniversary edition pays tribute to that legacy while giving fans fresh insight into its creation.
The new release includes rare content such as Carey's private writing sessions for "I Am Free" and "Melt Away", alongside remixes, live performances, acapellas and b-sides, plus a new remix of "Underneath the Stars". Physical formats, including a triple LP, 2-CD set and cassette, are due on 16 October, with the vinyl edition featuring her 1995 Madison Square Garden concert and the CD set including unreleased 1996 Rotterdam recordings of "Always Be My Baby" and "Open Arms".
